Eagles earn first win
Brockport swept all three doubles matches in wins over both Eastridge and Batavia last week in rebounding from a 1-2 start to their season.
The top doubles team of Calvin Moulton and Nate Riexinger defeated their Lancer opponent 6-1, 6-3 before a 6-1, 6-4 win over Batavia.
Cristo Abraham and Charlie McKee beat Eastridge 6-1, 6-4 at second doubles while the unit of Jacob Specht and Gavin Tremblay did the same versus Batavia 6-4, 7-5 in second doubles matches.
Jack Anderson and Connor Roberts had little difficulty in their 6-0, 6-0 third doubles sweep in the Lancer match while Alex Biler and Jacob Coogan were eventually victorious in the same slot against Batavia 7-5, 5-7, 10-7.
First singles Matt Benedict took both of his matches as well 6-0, 6-0 and 6-3, 6-4 respectively.
Michael Rennie slotted in second singles against Eastridge and won 6-0, 6-4 with fourth singles Hunter Ross winning via forfeit.
Chris Benedict won at third singles for the Blue Devils against Batavia 6-1, 6-1.
Kendall lost just three sets during the entire match as they earned their first tennis win of the spring 5-0 over Alexander.
Nathan Warters won 6-4, 6-1 at first singles while Ryan Barrett also had little trouble at second singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
Matthew Murray squeezed out a 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 win at third singles.
The Eagles’ top doubles unit of Stephen Balka and Christopher Butlin stumbled in the second set, but emerged victorious 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
And Kari Harrier with Tory Raufeison won their second doubles match 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
