Bees win sixth straight
Spencerport’s boys tennis team swept all three doubles matches and third and fourth singles to defeat Brockport 5-2 for their fourth victory in division play.
The first doubles team of David Bresia and Luc Fedele won 7-6, 6-0 while the second doubles unit of Giovanni Fargo and Jadon Schlierf had little trouble in a 6-2, 6-2 win.
The third doubles team of Nolan Benson and Salvatore Sack also made it look easy in their 6-2, 6-0 victory.
Third singles Henry Hart won in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 and fourth singles Alex Graff rebounded from a second set loss in his 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 win.
For Brockport, their top two singles players were victorious as Matt Benedict and Michael Rennie both took their opponents 6-1, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-2 respectively.
Meanwhile Byron-Bergen, who dropped their first two matches of the season, won their sixth consecutive 4-1 versus Kendall.
First singles Kyle Foeller won 6-2, 6-4 while second singles Josh Swapceinski also won in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
Third singles Sam Pringle finished his set in extra time 6-3, 7-5 while the second doubles team of Coltin Henry and John Mercovich rebounded from a first set 5-7 loss to win the final two 6-3, 7-5.
Kendall’s first doubles unit of Stephen Balka and Matthew Murray also came back in a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory.
