Rangers douse Comets
Seniors Colin Schultz and Jason Nau and eighth-grader Kamden Keyes each had a pair of first place individual finishes and were part of winning relay teams as Spencerport defeated Rush-Henrietta 106.5-76.5 in boys swimming.
Schultz won the 200-individual medley in 2:09.64 and the 100-breaststroke by 15 seconds in 1:03.06 while Nau took the 50-freestyle in :24.71 and the 100-freestyle in :55.27. Keyes won the 200-freestyle in 2:00.16 and the 500-freestyle in 5:33.58.
The three, with senior Ian Gillis ended the meet with a first place finish in the 400-freestyle relay in 3:42.38.
Gillis also broke the one minute mark in winning the 100-backstroke in :59.48 and won the meet-opening 200-medley relay with Nau, junior Alex Ingham and sophomore Ryan Choate in 1:55.73.
It marked the Rangers third win of the season. Sectional Preliminaries begin for Class B on February 13 in Webster.
