Bees sweep singles
Byron-Bergen swept all three singles matches on their way to a 4-1 victory over Holley in early season boy’s tennis.
Junior Kyle Foeller dropped his first set 5-7 before coming back with consecutive 6-3 wins to win his first singles match.
Sophomore Josh Swapceinski and junior Sam Pringle won their second and third singles matches in straight sets with the former by 6-2, 6-3 scores and the latter 6-3, 6-1.
The Byron-Bergen first doubles unit of juniors Cambria Kinkelaar and Nathan Zwerka rebounded from a 2-6 loss in their first set to take the final two 6-1, 6-2.
Holley seniors Erik Balys and Kory Puente salvaged a 6-4, 6-4 straight sets victory at second doubles for the Hawks.
