Spencerport received three-set victories from their top two doubles teams as well as their second and third singles to defeat Honeoye Falls-Lima 4-3 in boy’s tennis to extend their season-opening winning streak to four straight. They previously defeated Brockport, Irondequoit and Batavia all 7-0.
The first doubles unit of junior David Bresia and senior Owen Mears rebounded from an opening set loss to win the final two in their 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 victory. The second doubles team of junior Ryan Davis and senior Marcus Palozzi won the first and third sets to take their match 6-2, 4-6, 6-0.
Junior and second singles Henry Hart also lost his first set 4-6 before taking control in the final two with 6-2, 6-3 wins while junior third singles Giovanni Fargo had the tightest match winning the first set 7-5 and losing the second 5-7 before coming back with a 7-5 win in the third to seal the team victory.
