Brockport football schedule set for 2019
The College at Brockport football team have their schedule ready to go for next season, as they look to continue their dominating play. They wrapped up their 2018 campaign with a record of 11-1, which included their second straight Empire 8 Conference Championship and a pair of home NCAA Playoff games.
The new season will kick off with a road battle against Hobart College on September 7, making it the fourth consecutive year that the Golden Eagles will face off against the Statesmen. The next week, the Green and Gold home opener will be versus Framingham State, the same team Brockport defeated in the first round of the 2018 NCAA playoffs by a score of 40-27.
Another fun matchup will take place on September 21, when Brockport heads to Buffalo State, where they hope to push their I-90 Bowl winning streak to four straight. Following that battle, the Golden Eagles return home for a matchup against Alfred State. These two teams last played each other in 2016.
The largest event of the season will take place on October 5, where St. John Fisher College will host the 15th annual Courage Bowl game and this marks the sixth season that the Green and Gold will participate in the event. Brockport has won the last two matchups by a combined score of 87-14.
The bye week will take place in between two home contests, the first game being against Hartwick College on October 12 and then Utica College comes to town on October 26. After defeating the Red Dragons in 2018 to clinch the conference title, the Golden Eagles will head to SUNY Cortland on November 11 in 2019, for what is sure to be an intense matchup.
The final two weeks of the regular season will include a home battle versus Alfred University on November 9 before playing the finale on the road at Morrisville State on November 16.
