Hilton student athletes sign to play collegiate sports
On November 13, nine Hilton High School seniors signed letters of intent to play collegiate sports. Anaya Dees will be heading to the University of Cincinnati to compete in Division I track and field. She plans to major in psychology. Mackenzie Nolan will play Division I soccer at St. Bonaventure University, where she plans to major in pre-medicine. Ben Mitrano signed with Marist College to play Division I lacrosse and major in business. Zach Boyatzies will play Division II lacrosse and study intelligence at Mercyhurst University. Austin Holley is headed to St. Bonaventure University to play lacrosse and study broadcast journalism. Ryan Burgos will be studying criminal justice and wrestling at the Division I Edinboro University. Collin Burns will be majoring in mathematics and wrestling at the Division I University of Binghamton. Greg Diakomihalis will follow in his brother Yianni’s footsteps and wrestle for the Division I Cornell University. He plans to major in communications. And Haley Mojsej is headed to Robert Morris University to play Division I lacrosse and study accounting.
“Hilton High School takes tremendous pride in the manner in which these students represent their school, community, family and team,” said Director of Athletics and Physical Education Michael Giruzzi.
