Rochester RazorSharks name Terry Nowden as new Head Coach

Shawn Harris and Jose Lopez named as assistant coaches

Rochester RazorSharks have named Terry Nowden as the new Head Coach. Nowden is a 1996 Gates Chili graduate who played for Gary Oehlbeck (basketball) and won a Section V title in football. He attended Monroe Community College and completed his degree at Virginia Union University. He is a two-time Class AA Coach of the Year (Back-to-Back) and is a Rochester native.

Shawn Harris has been named Assistant Coach. Harris is a 2004 graduate who also played for Gary Oehlbeck (basketball) and won a Section V title in football and basketball. He was first team all-county multiple years, three year captain at The College at Brockport and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelors of History. He began coaching all levels of basketball in 2012.

Jose Lopez has also been named Assistant Coach. He has been part of the RazorSharks organization since 2018 running basketball operations. He was the Team Manager for Niagara University for two years. He graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelors in Sports Management.

The RazorSharks have also named Kimberly Corpus as Chief Visionary Officer, responsible for defining corporate vision, business strategy and working plans. AJ Fowler has been promoted from Director of Team Operations for the Rochester RazorSharks to Director of League Operations for the Premier Basketball League.

RazorSharks CEO Jen Moore says “The Rochester RazorSharks remain dedicated to creating a championship basketball team that will bring the Rochester community together with an affordable, high-caliber, professional sports and entertainment experience for our fans with a positive impact on our city. We appreciate the love and support of the community already this season, and look forward to bringing back an 8th PBL Championship to Rochester this season.”
