Irondequoit edged out Brockport in the last two events with a final score of 268 to Brockport’s 256.5 for the third-place finish.

Brockport seniors stepped up to finish in the top sixteen scoring places to gain points for the team.  Jacob Coogan placed 16th in the 100 breaststroke, Logan Kime placed 16th in the 50 freestyle and 12th in the 100 butterfly, Colby Riexinger placed fourth in the 200 individual medley and fourth in the 100 breaststroke, and Alex Scaglione placed fifth in both the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle followed closely by sophomore Jacob Falvey taking eighth place in the same events.  Senior diver Zack Turlington took third place in diving and qualified for the State Championships during an earlier in-season meet.

Not to be outdone, Brockport’s juniors made their mark on the team score. Mitch DiFante and Chase Dobbertin joined seniors Coogan and Kime to take ninth place in the 200 medley relay.  DiFante, Dalton Cunningham, and Alex LaMere took 11th, 12th, and 13th places respectively in the 500 freestyle. DiFante also placed 11th in the 100 backstroke along with Dobbertin taking 14th place.

Sectional champions include junior Nick Dambra with double state qualifying first places in the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly, and the members of the first place 200 freestyle relay – Scaglione, Riexinger, Falvey, and Dambra.  The same four swimmers took third place in the 400 freestyle relay.
