Hilton wrestler Greg Diakomihalis came back from a knee injury to win a record-setting fifth NYSPHSAA state championship title in Albany on February 29. He won the 120 lb. Division 1 title with a final score of 8-2 over Massapequa’s Chase Liardi. No other Section V wrestler has ever won as many state titles. Diakomihalis was also named Most Outstanding Wrestler in Division 1 at states.
