Rochester Rec Fest 2020, COVID-style, presented by United Healthcare, is Saturday, September 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Spencerport Firemen’s Field. This year’s festival features more activities, more food vendors, and more fun.
Some of the new activities this year include Disc Golf, a Scavenger Hunt, Mini Golf, and an Agility Challenge. There will also be passive and hands-on activities including last year’s popular rock-stacking activity. The Synergy Project and Double Down will provide live music. Unified Tae Kwon Do returns this year with a live demonstration.
The entire day is a family-friendly, rain or shine event. Most activities are free or request a small donation for materials. Kona Ice will be at the festival as well as the Spencerport Kiwanis popcorn stand. Barton’s Parkside Hots, a supporter and sponsor of the festival, will be there with their popular food truck.
All activities are designed to have extra safety precautions in place in compliance with CDC guidelines. Participants are asked to wear a mask at the event. Hand sanitizer will be available. More details about the safety precautions are available at http://www.rocrecfest.com/safety.
