SUNY Brockport Athletics gives back
The SUNY Brockport athletic department and student-athletes found success off the field on Sunday, October 27, as they participated in numerous community service activities in an effort to give back to the Brockport community.
The student-athletes from SAAC collected 653 pounds of food from the community, all of which will be donated to the Brockport Food Shelf located at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
The athletics department capped off the weekend of giving back on Sunday with their annual community leaf raking event. The Golden Eagles had more than 500 student-athletes participate in the event, providing help to over 35 yards in the area.
The Golden Eagles enjoy giving back to a community that is constantly coming out to support them and look to continue their efforts in the seasons to come.
Gary Sauer and Athletes in Rochester donated hot chocolate and doughnuts to the participating student-athletes.
