The Portside Royals varsity hockey team’s season came to an end in the Sectional finals when they fell to Pittsford 4-1. However, they earned the Section V Class A Team Sportmanship Award. Coaches Zac Case, Bill McGrath, and Jim Gullen along with Captains Danny Kucmerowski, Landen Christ, Joey Mallette and Alex Schram received the award on behalf of the team. Kucmerowski, the team’s goalie, received the Section V Class A Outstanding Player Award for the second year in a row. Schram received the Thomas M. Nichols Scholarship Award.
