Holley hurdler Allison Merle signs on for Cobleskill Track & Field

On May 2, Holley High School senior Allison Merle signed her letter of intent to compete at the collegiate level for track and field. She will be attending SUNY Cobleskill where she will study Animal Science.

Allison has been a member of Holley’s track and field program for the past five years where she runs in the 100 and 400-meter hurdle events. She is a team captain, a two-time Scholar Athlete award recipient (2022, 2023), a two-time Genesee Region All-Star (2023, 2024) and Holley’s Class of 2025 Valedictorian. She captured the Genesee Region title in 2024 and holds the school record for the 100-meter hurdles with a 16.92 time. She has competed at state qualifiers for the 100-meter hurdles for three consecutive years.

“Allison is the epitome of what every coach wants in an athlete,” said Holley Track & Field Coach Art Goldstein. “Her accomplishments are the result of hard work, determination to improve, attention to detail, perseverance and dedication.”
