Melissa M. Head, formerly of Gilmore Road, Brockport, was married to Joe Welch on July 23 in Talkeetna, Alaska.
The bride is the daughter of Donna and Pete Head of Brockport. The groom’s mother and stepfather are Lauri and Dave Solberg, and his father and stepmother are Brenda and Kevin Welch, all of Wisconsin.
Melissa’s brother, Kevin, officiated, having received formal certification as a marriage commissioner in the State of Alaska. Attendees included beloved family and friends from Alaska, Wisconsin, western New York and Maine.
Melissa is a graduate of Brockport High School, the University of New Hampshire and Bard College. She works as a land and resource specialist for the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources. Her husband, Joe, is originally from Superior, Wisconsin, and is a wildlife biologist for a private company.
Melissa and Joe reside in Fairbanks, Alaska.
