Have you noticed all the white blouses women are modeling in internet ads?
The fashion industry has decreed that every woman and every good sporting man must be wearing white in their summer gad-about travels and gatherings.
And did you notice that moments after Wimbledon was decided this year, the network switched to an ad for the “Wimbledon Collection” to convert all that sporting emotion into sales for the greed-is-our-creed fashion industry?
This summer, the monied people can also go to a “Diner en Blanc” event, where folks dress entirely in white from head to toe and gather at a landmark location not disclosed until just before the event. Wannabe American aristocrats compete for ultra coolness there by providing their own exotic food, tables, chairs, and (white) tablecloths.
Have we ever been more of a nation of sheep than in 2023?
