Greece Police Department public safety reminder: Off-road vehicles don’t belong on neighborhood streets
In the Town of Greece, dirt bikes, ATVs, golf carts, and other off-road or unregistered motorized vehicles are not allowed on public roads, sidewalks, or through neighborhoods.
These vehicles are not street-legal and pose serious safety risks to riders, pedestrians, and other drivers – especially when they’re driven at high speeds or recklessly. We’ve received increased reports of these vehicles speeding through residential areas, creating dangerous conditions for families, children playing outside, and everyday traffic.
Parents, please take a moment to talk to your kids about the risks and responsibilities that come with operating these types of vehicles. What may seem like fun can quickly turn into a life-changing accident or legal issue. Teaching respect for our roads and our neighbors starts at home.
