Laura Mayer appointed as Oliver Middle School Principal
The Brockport Central School District has named Laura Mayer, Ed.D as the new Principal of A.D. Oliver Middle School. Her appointment was approved by the Board of Education during the September 16 meeting, and she will assume her new role on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Dr. Mayer brings extensive educational leadership, student support and instructional experience. She recently served as Assistant Principal at Merton Williams Middle School in the Hilton Central School District. Prior to that role, Mayer spent over a decade teaching Math and Science in a consultant classroom with both special education students and ELL students, providing her with a robust foundation in instructional practices and student-centered learning. She also previously taught at NorthStar Christian Academy.
Throughout her career, Dr. Mayer has demonstrated a strong commitment to student achievement and has a distinguished academic background. She earned her administrative degree from SUNY Brockport and completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Rochester in 2024. She is dedicated to fostering student growth, nurturing a positive school culture, and supporting the professional development of staff.
