C-C students selected for youth orchestras

Several Churchville-Chili High School students have been selected to perform with prestigious youth orchestras this year.
Sophomore Lauren, a violinist, earned a spot with the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
Sophomore Juliana (cello), junior Gabby (bass), and senior Taylor (viola) were chosen to perform with the Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra. As part of this honor, the Hochstein students will travel to France in the spring to perform internationally with the group.
“We couldn’t be prouder to have these students representing our district. The incredible commitment and dedication it takes to be accepted into the RPYO, as well as attend and prepare for their busy practice and performance schedule, is truly commendable. I can’t think of better ambassadors for the C-C Music Program,” said Director of Fine Arts Jeff Smith.
