Tickets on sale for inaugural “Frenched” culinary competition

The American Culinary Federation Rochester Chapter (ACFR) has partnered with Foodlink once again to hold the ACFR’s inaugural “Frenched” competition on Sunday, November 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. The event will be held at Pomona at Blue Barn, 918 Manitou Road in Hilton (https://www.pomonaatbluebarn.com).
This event, where area restaurants compete to win the title of Best “Frenched” Dish, will raise money for Foodlink & The American Culinary Federation Chefs/Cooks Association of Rochester educational scholarships and programs.
Rochester’s own Dino Kay of 95.1 WAIO – iHeart Media will serve as the evening’s emcee, guiding guests through an afternoon of flavor, fun, and friendly competition.
Tickets are $50 per person and are available on Eventbrite or www.acfroc.org. Each ticket includes tastings from all participating restaurants, one drink ticket (after that, cash bar – ATM on site), and live entertainment by The Dawgs. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, wine pull, scratch-off lottery tickets, and a silent auction.
Participating restaurants include Char Steak & Lounge, Grappa Italian Nouveau, Shadow Lake Grill & Tap Room, and more to be announced. Attendees will enjoy tastings from all competing restaurants and vote for their favorites in a “People’s Choice” format — with awards going to the top three contenders.
