Holley Middle/High School will present their production of Shrek the Musical at the Holley Junior Senior High School Auditorium on March 13 at 7 p.m., and March 14 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
With music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, this Tony Award-winning fairytale adventure follows the story of Shrek, an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short- tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero.
Packed with creative flair, Shrek delivers laughs and fun for the entire family, proving once again that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places.
Come see Holley High School’s talented student performers bring this magical show to life. The cast includes junior Aidan Kelley as Shrek, junior Isla Schultz as Fiona, freshman Kallan Babcock as Donkey, senior Kohle Pachla as Lord Farquaad, seniors Lillian Haight, Nora Lindsay, and Alexis VanAmeron as Dragon, senior Layla Jones as Gingy, and senior Nico Unterborn as Pinocchio. Approximately 63 students are involved in the ensemble, production, crew, and pit orchestra.
