The Master Gardeners of Monroe County Cooperative Extension, in conjunction with Monroe County Parks, will lead public tours of the historic Durand Eastman Park Arboretum this spring. These informative and engaging tours will highlight the park’s rich history, dating back to its establishment in 1909, and showcase its diverse natural beauty.
Tours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. every Sunday, from April 12 through May 3. The route will traverse moderate hills and wooded trails, so participants should dress accordingly. There is no charge.
Registration is required and can be made at https://tinyurl.com/5f7exbd5. Meet at the kiosk on Zoo Road (off Lakeshore Boulevard) next to the park maintenance center on the chosen tour date.
