Greece Regional Chamber Community Update
The Greece Regional Chamber has remained active this spring with a strong mix of networking, recognition, business engagement, and community connection.
In early March, the Chamber hosted networking events at The Contractor Store on March 5, and at The Designery Rochester and Budget Blinds Northwest Rochester on March 6, creating opportunities for members to connect and strengthen relationships.
The Chamber’s 37th Annual Community Awards Gala was held on March 19 to recognize those who have made significant contributions to the community in various capacities. The 2026 honorees were:
- Businessperson of the Year – Matt Reed, New York Technology Partners
- First Responder of the Year – Chris Mros, Greece Central School District
- William E. Selke Senior Citizen of the Year – Gene Noga
- Young Professional of the Year – Anthony Lodato, Complete Payroll
- Arts & Culture Award – Tom Ricci, Artist’s Unlimited Inc.
- Building Award (Renovation) – Boscov’s
- Building Award (New Building) – Shake Shack
- Education Award – Megan Wright, Greece Central School District
- Environment Award – Valerie Simeone, Refined Restoration
- Health Award – Wendy Cooper, Healthy Highway
- History Award – Richard T. Halsey, Greece Historical Society
- Thomas E. Schommer Spirit of the Chamber – Joe Robach
- Girlie Goodwin Citizen of the Year – Lindsay Ward & Julie Chapus
April began with Lunch & Learn with Shake Shack: Networking That Works – A Referral-Driven System for Small Business Growth and the multi-chamber Comedy @ the Carlson: Chamber Night on April 8, “Second” Friday Networking with Mike Tornatore on April 10, and the Business, Health & Home Expo on April 11. Together, these events created meaningful opportunities for visibility, education, collaboration, and community engagement.
On May 1, the Chamber held May First Friday Networking at the Town of Greece, where members had the opportunity to connect with Town Supervisor Jeff McCann and his team in a welcoming and informative setting. The Chamber celebrated ribbon cuttings for Thrive Wellness Lounge on May 1 and Wax It All on May 9, welcoming two new businesses to the community. Outstanding high school students were recognized at the Youth Hall of Fame induction ceremony on May 19.
Looking ahead, upcoming Chamber events include the Annual Luncheon in June, the Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament on June 22, and Taste of the Town on August 23. More is still to come as the Chamber continues building an exciting 2026–2027 season.
The Chamber has also welcomed several new members, including TMC Premier Travel, CTG, House to Home Heating & Cooling, Sandler by Sales Heart Partners, Inc., Ascentrix, Your SSA Rep, AIW Business Solutions, CSL Plasma, Top Lawn Care and Landscapes, and Outdoor Lighting Perspectives.
