Byron-Bergen Pole Vaulter Bound for Ithaca College

On June 10, Byron-Bergen senior Katherine Rogoyski committed to continuing her formal education after graduation at Ithaca College, where she will compete in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field. The official signing was witnessed by Byron-Bergen Varsity Track Coach Nick Muhlenkamp and Rogoyski’s family.
“Kat has worked incredibly hard over the last few years,” said Muhlenkamp. “She has truly become an expert pole vaulter, and it is common to see her coaching and working with younger vaulters, both from B-B and other schools. We are very proud of her for her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her future successes.”
While at Byron-Bergen, Rogoyski participated in Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field, and Outdoor Track and Field, competing at the varsity level since seventh grade and serving as captain of all three teams the past three years. She holds seven Byron-Bergen school records, was named a Section V Champion six times, a four-time League All-Star, a three-time League Champion, the 2026 Genesee Region Field Athlete of the Year, and a two-time MVP Award recipient. In 2024, she finished ninth in the state in the 3,200 relay team and 8th in Pole Vault at the NYS Championships. In 2025, she finished fourth in the state in pole vault at the NYS Championships. In 2026, she set a new personal best in pole vault, clearing 11’5” at the NY State Championships Qualifier, and will be going to the NY State Championships.
She also participates in the Ski and Snowboard Club, Yearbook Club, SADD Club, Band, Student Council, Class of 2026, Math League, Girls State, and National Honor Society.
“I would like to thank my coaches, parents, and teammates for their constant support and love,” said Rogoyski.
Rogoyski plans to study Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, and Graphic Design.
