Benefit Planned to Support Local Woman’s Cancer Battle

A benefit will be held on Saturday, August 29, to support local resident Amanda Snider with medical expenses. Amanda has faced many health challenges in her life. She was born with Dandy-Walker Syndrome and mild intellectual disabilities, and was recently diagnosed with stage 4 carcinosarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer.

The benefit will run from 2 to 6 p.m. on August 29 at the Clarendon Rec Hall, 16169 East Lee Road, Holley. A DJ will provide music, and there will be several raffles, including a 50/50, baskets, and a large item. There is no entrance fee.

A spaghetti dinner will be available from 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 pre-sale, or $17 at the door. In addition to pasta, the meal will include salad, bread, and dessert.

Raffle items and direct donations are also being accepted, so those unable to attend the event can still contribute. All proceeds will go to Amanda for her ongoing medical expenses and hardship.
