Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is seeking the public’s assistance after responding to a report that a kitten was thrown from a moving pickup truck in the town of Sweden.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, a black truck was observed heading eastbound near the 6500 block of Brockport-Spencerport Road when a kitten was thrown from the passenger-side window of the moving vehicle. The truck was described as an older model pickup with a short lift kit. The kitten was evaluated and treated for its injuries and is expected to survive.
Lollypop Farm humane investigators are asking anyone who may have information about its owner or have firsthand knowledge related to this incident to contact its cruelty hotline at 585-223-6500. Even seemingly minor details may assist investigators in determining the vehicle owner’s identity.
