The Spencerport Red Onions Drill Team brought home a third-place finish at the 2026 NYS Championship Drill in Hempstead on August 15.
Firematic racing combines teamwork, athleticism, and precision firematic skill as teams race against the clock in high-energy events, pushing themselves and their equipment to the limit in pursuit of victory.
The Red Onions placed third overall out of 30 teams from across New York State. This is only the fourth time in history that a team from outside of Long Island has placed in the top five at the NYS Championship.
