RocVets Music is a free community music program created to support veterans and their immediate family members through music. The program provides free music instruction, instruments on loan, printed music, and opportunities for veterans and their families to learn, play, and connect with others in a welcoming environment.
Fall registration is now open, and all participants—new and returning—must register for the fall session. The form is available online at rocvetsmusic.org.
The group is holding a Meet & Greet on Saturday, August 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Lower Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester River Campus. Another opportunity to meet fellow musicians and arrange instrument loans will be held on September 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at the same location. Classes begin on September 19.
“We are excited to begin a new semester and bring our RocVets community together,” said Judy Rose. “Music has a unique ability to create connection, friendship, and a sense of belonging. We look forward to welcoming both returning and new members.”
