BROCKPORT: Coopenberg, Bonnie J., died August 22, 2026, at age 84. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, and daughter, Amy Mastay. She is survived by her brothers, Jim Cliff and Gerry (Lillian) Cliff; grandchildren, Michael Mastay (Dominque) and Matthew (Jamie) Mastay; great-grandchildren, Audry, Cooper, Edwin, and Malia; brother-in-law, Bob (Betty) Coopenberg; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

BROCKPORT: Romagnolo, Richard G., died August 22, 2026, at age 85. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Dorothy, and his parents, George Romagnolo and Mary Ciccoline. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Romagnolo; grandchildren, Nadia and River Romagnolo; brother, Dale (Linda) Romagnolo; sister-in-law, Anne Lana; nephews, Christopher (Amee) Lana, Joshua Lana, Nicolas Lana, and AJ (Keli) Lana; niece, Genevieve Lana; and many other extended family and friends. Richard was a kind and loving soul who always enjoyed a good laugh. He was eager to lend a helping hand and could fix anything you might need. He was happiest tinkering in his garage, going for a drive, taking pictures of local scenery, and working on various projects around the house with his good friend, Fred.
Calling hours will be Monday, August 31, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Avenue, Brockport. Interment will be held privately. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
CHILI: Gavin, Bridget G. “Bridie,” died August 20, 2026, at age 88. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick, and sister, Sr. Rose (Marie) O’Connor in Ireland. She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Bob) Hall, Sheila Gavin, and Patrick (Judi); grandchildren, Bridget and Gavin Hall and Sam and Genna Gavin; sisters, Eileen “Evelyn” Fallon and Sarah (Martin) Curley; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. “Bridie” was born November 13, 1937, in Roundfort, County Mayo, Ireland. She grew up on a small family farm as one of four daughters of Ellen and James Connor. She came to the United States at age 19. She secured a job at Eastman Kodak Company. In Rochester, Bridie met Patrick (Pat) Gavin at the Hibernian Club, where young Irish immigrants gathered for music, dancing, and community. After retiring from Eastman Kodak, Bridie embraced her favorite chapter as “Grandma Bridie.” She also enjoyed volunteering in the St. Pius X Helping Hands and participating in the knitting and crocheting group. Bridie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, unconditional love, positive spirit, and the example she set for her family. Her journey from County Mayo, Ireland, to the United States will continue to inspire all who carry forward the lessons she lived each day.

CHILI: Palmer, Linda E., died August 4, 2026, at age 74. She was predeceased by her parents, Billie (Helene) Oltman. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James; son, Evan (Heather) Palmer; grandsons, Benjamin, Timothy and Noah; sister, Nancy Canciaslosi; brother, Bruce Oltman; brother-in-law, David (Diane) Palmer; sister-in-law, Peggy Seely; and nephew, John (Kaela) Turcany.

HAMLIN: Kirkey, Sydney J. (Sid) (Pa), passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, at 82. He resided in Hamlin, NY.
He was predeceased by his Father, Virgil Kirkey; his Mother, Helen Kirkey; and Brothers, James and John Kirkey.
He is survived by his Daughter, Lynn Marie (Gerald) Webster-Grimshaw, and Son, David (Liz) Kirkey; Grandson, Timothy R. Webster; 7 Bonus Grandkids and 5 Bonus Great-Grandkids; his Sister, Martha (Jim) Newell; Brothers, Peter (Patty), Michael (Debi), Thomas (Marybeth) and Sister- in-law, Darcy Kirkey and his cat, Robin. Sid had many nieces and nephews. He also had bonus daughters, Trieste Roegner and Jennifer Feder.
Sid loved being a Dad, Pa, and Papa Sid. He retired from Eastman Kodak. He drove school bus for First Student for many years.
Sid belonged to Compeer Corps. He loved animals, fishing, the Boston Red Sox, and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed playing euchre at the Hamlin VFW. He liked going to Red Wings games.
Sid proudly served in the Navy from 1963 to 1967. He served in the Vietnam War. He was fortunate enough to go on an Honor Flight.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm at the Hamlin VFW, 1739 Lake Rd. N., Hamlin, NY 14464. His military honors will take place at noon.

HOLLEY: Kernan, Daniel Andrew, age 60, died unexpectedly on August 20, 2026. Dan was born February 11, 1966, in Aberdeen, Washington, a son of the late Keith Eugene and Jean Elizabeth Kernan, and was the middle child of nine. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Keith R. “Kib.” He is survived by siblings, Carole (Jeff), Lee Anne (Jamie), Bill, Sharon (Matt), Kathy (Steve), Reuben, and Nathan (Rachel); sister-in-law, Peggy (Paul); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dan worked for over 25 years at Tops Supermarket in Albion and Hamlin. Dan was a writer, an artist, and a lot of wonderful things to a lot of people. He loved spending time with family the most, and never missed a family gathering. Dan will always be remembered for his wit, creativity, love of family, work ethic, caring nature, and kindness.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 11, at 4 p.m. at the Harvest Christian Fellowship, 560 East Avenue, Albion, NY 14411, with a meal to follow. HOLLEY: Ornt, Patrick A., age 36, died unexpectedly on August 23, 2026. He was born December 6, 1989, in Rochester to Alfred M. Ornt Jr. and Lorraine Simons. Pat was predeceased by his father; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Shirley Ornt; and maternal grandmother, Marilyn Sailer. Patrick is survived by his girlfriend, Sierra Kuhn; and their son, Malachi; mother, Lorraine Simons; siblings, Jessica (Carl Engert), Nicholas (Jacquelyn), Stacy (Corey Brown), Todd (Gina Trotter), Matthew, Shawna; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; beloved dog, Bella Rose; and friends in the “Fancher crew.” Patrick loved a challenge, wrenching on motors, and motorsports. He loved dirt bikes, motorcycles, and 4-wheelers. He was smart, strong, loving, and caring toward everyone he knew. He loved his family and friends, always had a smile on his face, and was the life of the party.

SPENCERPORT: Coleman, Evelyn W., died August 19, 2026, at age 93. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl, and siblings, Ray, Chuck, Bob, Art, and Bloss. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Jay Peck. Evelyn owned Pendleton Spot at Coleman’s in Spencerport.

SPENCERPORT: Fahey, Donna C., died August 17, 2026, at age 81. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Vivian Cannon. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William; children, Christine Tirk and William (Deborah) Fahey; grandchild, Savanna; sisters, Sally Millick and Mary (Bruce) Gaffney; and her doggie, Jazz. Donna was involved in numerous activities over the years, working as a school aide and eventually donating her time to translating books into braille for the blind. She attended St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church for over 55 years and donated time to both the church and the now-closed St. John School. Donna sang in the choir, the folk choir, and would cantor during Mass. She enjoyed countless hobbies, loved to read, and especially loved all her dogs.

SPENCERPORT: French, Shirley J., died August 21, 2026, at age 89. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, John French, and brother, Gary Bell. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Jeff) Danzinger, Colleen (John) Shakshober, Tom (Sherry) French, and Christine (Tim Vaughn) Courtney; grandchildren, Kate (Cody) Alves, Sarah (Jared) Scott, Jean (Dave) O’Leary, Mary (Matt) Crossman; and great-grandchildren, Nolan, Carter, and Nora Alves, and Jack O’Leary.
