The Brockport Fire District will host a day-long vigil at the 9/11 Memorial, 237 South Main Street, Brockport, on Friday, September 11, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
The Opening Ceremony starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Ringing of the Bell at 8:47 a.m. An Honor Guard will stand vigil throughout the day, paying their respects to those who were lost. At 6 p.m., the Honor Guard will be replaced by a “Ring of Gold,” in which command personnel from various agencies gather for a moment of silence prior to the closing ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
All are welcome to join in this day of reflection and remembrance.
