Jodi Piontkowski, a second-grade teacher at Churchville-Chili’s Chestnut Ridge Elementary School, was recently recognized as an Outstanding Teacher Honoree during a Rochester Red Wings game.
Piontkowski was one of five local educators selected by the Rochester Red Wings and Visions Federal Credit Union for their Outstanding Teacher Recognition program, which honors educators whose compassion, creativity, and dedication make a lasting impact on their students, families, and school communities.
The recognition is based on nominations submitted by community members who shared stories about the educators who have made a meaningful impact in their lives. Piontkowski’s nomination highlighted how she helped bring families together during the COVID-19 pandemic through virtual bingo nights and bedtime stories, creating connections families still remember today.
As a second-grade teacher at Chestnut Ridge, Piontkowski is known for her commitment to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating meaningful connections with families.
