Clarkson officially opened its new 18‑hole MultiGolfPark course at Kimball Park with a ribbon-cutting on Saturday, September 26, 2026. This course gives residents three ways to play: disc golf, foot golf, and park golf — all on the same course. The attraction is the first certified MultiGolfPark course in the Northeast.
Designed by professional disc golfer Avery Jenkins and installed by DiscGolfPark, the course features shorter fairways that fit within the park while accommodating players of all ages and skill levels. Disc golfers throw toward chain baskets, foot golfers kick a soccer ball into an oversized cup, and park golfers use a single club to strike a large plastic ball.
The $99,950 project was funded through Monroe County using federal American Rescue Plan Act dollars. Town officials recognized County Executive Adam Bello, the Monroe County Legislature, and Legislator Jackie Smith for supporting and facilitating the funding.
The idea began nearly two years ago when former Councilperson Nick D’Amuro and Highway Superintendent Bob Viscardi explored new recreational possibilities for Kimball Park. The Clarkson Town Board – Ursula Liotta, Tom Guarino, Sharon Mattison, Dave Howlett, and Kathy Delorme – and former Councilpersons, D’Amuro and John Culhane, together with MRB Group Engineers, supported the project’s development, while the Clarkson Highway Department crew, including Viscardi and Mike Farrell, Foreman, completed most of the site work, including shaping the course and planting trees to enhance the course play.
Town Clerk Susan Henshaw and Supervisor’s Assistant Tammy Blanchard were also acknowledged for their coordination efforts throughout the project.
Supervisor Liotta described the MultiGolfPark course as an investment in community recreation. The course adds to the park’s amenities and offers a new, accessible activity for residents and visitors alike.
To play, simply bring your own discs or balls — and make your way through all 18 holes.
