Purver Breaks C-C Diving Record

Churchville-Chili diver Alyssa Purver took to the boards Friday, September 25, at the Lady Yeti Classic, hosted at the Webster Aquatic Center. With her performance, Alyssa earned a spot at the NYSPHSAA State Diving Championships, finished third among all Section V divers, and etched her name into the Churchville-Chili record books as the new 11-dive record holder with a score of 481.50.
Purver surpassed the previous school record of 453.60, held by Churchville-Chili alum Sarah DiGaetano since 2017.
“Alyssa had one of the best meets of her life last Friday,” said Churchville-Chili Diving Coach Ricky Krebs. “Dive after dive dropped into the water effortlessly. She earned every point she was awarded. The next four years are going to be a blast. She’s just an eighth grader, but all said and done, I think Alyssa will end up one of the greatest divers Section V has ever produced.”
