The Lions Club of Chili, along with a volunteer, recently prepared and distributed 40 extra-large lunch bags to neighbors experiencing homelessness. Each bag contained two sandwiches, two beverages, two snacks, two pairs of socks, and a note of positive affirmations.
The Lions also attended Chili Recreation’s Community Halloween Event on October 24. They handed out more than 800 pieces of candy along with Halloween-themed wooden cars and paw print stamps. Members say it was a great day to be in Chili, watching families in costumes having a good time and enjoying music and entertainment by The Happy Pirates. Anyone interested in volunteering or joining the club can reach out to Membership Chair Mike Donner at 585-704-7265.
