Take a step back in time and join the fun at the Spencerport Depot and Canal Museum. Heritage Day will be Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day will be filled with demonstrations of many skills, including quilting and lace making, music, and a fun time for the kids. Try hooking a fish like they did back in the early days and playing games from the past, make a yarn doll or try your luck walking on stilts. Try your luck at guessing the use of old farm tools and checking out the model of the Erie Canal and listen to stories of its history.
At 2 p.m. David Ruch performs special Erie Canal music. Bring a chair or a blanket and relax along the historic Erie Canal.
