Hospice of Orleans 19th Golf Scramble raises over $17,000

The 19TH annual Hospice of Orleans Golf Scramble, held July 29 at Hickory Ridge Golf Course, brought in more than $17,600 to support services for people with serious illness in the community.

Guest MC Chet Walker, former WHAM radio on-air personality, presented trophies to the following winning teams and golfers:
•Men’s team and overall winners – Mark Depford, Stan Slater, Bud Fuller and Kevin Elliot
•Mixed team – David Kast, Marcia Smith, Mark Murphy, Mark Radzinski
•Women’s team – Mary Ann Guzik, Barb Budde, Kelly Froman, and Sherry Palmeri
•Winner of the Albion Ace Hardware Putting Contest  – Kevin Wolff
•Winner of the Men’s Longest Drive –  Josh Mitchell
•Winner of the Women’s Longest Drive –  Karen Cardone Tillman
•Winner Closest to the Pin –  TJ Sarratori

Major sponsors of the tournament were Christopher-Mitchell Funeral Homes, Dr. Thomas Madejski, Sanzo and Sons, and Don Davis Chevrolet, Buick, GMC of Albion.

Upcoming events
•Sunday, September 13 is Albion’s 3rd Annual Car Show at Bullard Park.  All proceeds will go to support Hospice.
•Saturday October 10 is the Brown’s 5K Cross Country Run and Memory Walk.   All proceeds will go to support Hospice.
