Sports Performance Specialist named

Spencerport Department of Athletics and UR Medicine – Sports Medicine has announced that Cameron Apt has been hired as the Rangers Sports Performance Specialist.

As the Rangers Sports Performance Specialist, Cameron will work year round with the in season and out of season teams and student-athletes as well as provide professional development for the coaching staff. He will work in the HS Fitness Center Monday through Friday, 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. for the 2015-16 Winter and Spring seasons.

Cameron, a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Sports Performance Specialist for UR Medicine – Sports Medicine, attended Alfred University where he maintained a premedical focus while receiving his Bachelors in Science in Athletic Training as well as minoring in Exercise Science and Biology.

A three sport athlete in high school, Cameron has always involved himself in athletics. He went on to play college football and continues to maintain an athletic lifestyle by mountain biking, running obstacle races, playing basketball and wakeboarding.

Cameron has previously worked as a strength specialist as well as a Certified Athletic Trainer with youth, high school, college and professional athletes most currently being placed at Webster Thomas High School.
