Jordan Spieth named Hickok Belt® Award winner for September 2015
Professional golfer Jordan Spieth has been named the Hickok Belt® Award winner for the month of September 2015. The announcement marks the second time that Spieth has earned recognition by the Hickok Belt® Award this year, having also won the award for the month of April.
A select panel of members of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) conducted the voting and selected Spieth based on his victory at the Tour Championship. This marks his fifth victory on the PGA Tour this year which also netted him the season’s overall Fed Ex Cup. Spieth became the youngest player since 1929 to win five times in a single season and the youngest ever to claim the Fed Ex Cup.
Spieth’s selection as the Hickok Belt® Award winner for the month of September 2015 recognizes him as “the best of the best” in professional sports for the month and again makes him eligible to receive the overall Hickok Belt® Award for 2015, joining Tom Brady, James Harden, Bryce Harper, LeBron James, Carli Lloyd and Jake Arrieta.
