Mattie Kathryn Benedict, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey and Debra Benedict of Churchville, and Kevin Richard Laley, son of David and Marjorie Laley of Churchville, were married August 21, 2015. The ceremony was held at the Linehan Chapel at Nazareth College, Pittsford with Rev. Gregory Benedict officiating the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Emily Brown, as maid of honor with Kristen McConnell, Leah Stacy and Katie Meister as bridesmaids.
The best man was Joseph Ahl. Andrew Benedict, brother of the bride, AJ Simms and Mark Bellavia served as ushers.
The bride graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College and holds a bachelor of science degree in Childhood and Special Education. She is employed as the Day Care and After School Program Director at Pearce 4 Kids Childcare Center.
The groom has a bachelor of arts degree in Mathematics with a certification in Secondary Education from Nazareth College, as well as a masters of science degree in Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island. He is employed as a high school math teacher at Fairport High School.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and reside in Churchville.
