Dominick “Nick” Greco
Greece: June 1, 2016. Predeceased by wife, Rita (Kroenig), and twelve siblings. Survived by children Linda (Doug) Hopkins, Sandra (James) York, David (Cyndi) VanIngen, Thomas VanIngen, and James (Eva) Greco, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law, Eleanor Greco, and many nieces and nephews.
Nick began work in a Pennsylvania coalmine at the age of 14. He then moved his family to Rochester for a better life and served in the US Army during WWII. Later, he owned his own service station, worked as an auto mechanic, manager, and remodeled houses. In retirement, he worked at Buckman’s Car Wash in Greece for many years. His greatest joy was his family.
Family and friends may call Sunday (TODAY) 4-7 pm at Arndt Funeral Home, 1118 Long Pond Road. Mass will be Monday, 10 am, at St. John the Evangelist Church (Greece). Internment is at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leo Center of Caring at St. Anne’s Home or Visiting Nurse Service in his honor.
