Area youth win honors in Scotts Major League Baseball Pitch Hit and Run Competition

As many as 36 participants competed in the PITCH HIT & RUN™ Competition hosted by the Town of Hamlin Recreation Department on Thursday, April 27.

The following participants won in their respective age groups:

•Age seven/eight – Jeremiah Schwaderer of Hilton won All-Around and Hit Champion; Troy Dibattisto of Hamlin won Run Champion.

•Age nine/10 – JJ Dibattisto of Hamlin won All-Around and Hit Champion and tied with Owen Donovan of Hilton for Pitch Champion; Jonas Rhodes of Hilton won Run Champion.

•Age 11/12 – Maddox Tonner of Brockport won All-Around and Hit Champion and tied with Jordan Fleischer of Brockport for Pitch Champion; Gavin Leverenz of Hamlin won Run Champion.

•Age 13/14 – Ethan Donovan of Hilton won All-Around, Pitch Champion, Hit Champion and Run Champion.

The winners now have the chance to compete in the Sectional competition where All-Around Champions then become eligible to qualify for the Team Championships hosted at Major League ballparks.
