ReQua triple-double paces Eagles
Senior Taylor ReQua scored ten of her game-high 15 points in the first half and Kendall ran out to a 13-0 lead on their way to a 37-15 girls basketball win over Holley.
ReQua knocked down two treys and a free throw while junior Jenna Regan added a put-back as the Eagles led 9-0 after the first eight minutes.
Sophomore Lizzie Sutphen scored twice to open the second quarter before Holley’s Delilah Grathouse hit a runner about halfway through the stanza for the first Hawks points.
Kendall added 11 points in the third quarter with senior Lyndsay Wright hitting a free throw and a lay-up and junior Kaitlyn Gregory ending the period with back-to-back field goals to extend the lead to 27-8.
The teams played evenly in the fourth quarter as the Hawks’ Julia Smith and Abby Williams hit jumpers and sophomore Olivia Radford a three-pointer.
ReQua added 11 rebounds and ten steals to her 15 points for the Eagles. Regan added seven points, Sutphen had six and Wright finished with five points, ten rebound and a pair of steals. Sophomore Brittany Marks also chipped in with seven rebounds.
Holley’s Radford led the Hawks with seven points, Madison Marsh had three with Smith and Williams each adding two.
