The Hilton School District Athletic Department welcomes Kurt Graupman as the varsity girls’ basketball coach to succeed retiring coach Jeff Eichas. A middle school math teacher in the Geneseo School District since 1999 and Hilton High School graduate, Graupman served as the assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach in Hilton from 2009-2017. His coaching experience also includes serving as head coach of the WNY Lady Lakers AAU organization from 2009-2014.
“We are very excited to have Kurt rejoin our school community,” said Michael Giruzzi, director of Athletics and Physical Education. “He comes back to us with many years of successful basketball coaching experience, both inside and outside of Hilton, and we believe that his strategic plan, expertise and energy level will continue to build upon the tradition of excellence that retiring coach Jeff Eichas fostered for many years.”
Graupman lives in Greece with his wife Kathleen. They have two daughters, Cameron, a sophomore at The College of Saint Rose, and Chloe, a senior at Hilton High School.
