Gates – Linda A. Crandall, 69, passed away on April 16, 2018. Born in Watertown, NY on July 4, 1948, she was the daughter of Harold and Virginia Robinson. On April 14, 1973 she married the love of her life, Peter J. Crandall.
Linda attended Jefferson Community College and SUNY Oswego for education. After pursuing a career as a Math Teacher, she and Peter moved to Rochester in 1975. She went on to work at the University of Rochester for 42 years as the supervisor for the department of neuropathology.
When she wasn’t working you could find her enjoying time with her family. They loved to go sailing, spend time at their cottage, baking, crafting, spoiling her granddaughters or simply taking care of others. Linda was always selfless, assuring that everyone else was well taken care of before thinking of herself.
Along with her husband, Peter. She is survived by her two sons, Sean (Tara Allen) Crandall, Erik (Courtney) Crandall; three granddaughters Lorelai, Madeleine, Alyssa; siblings Donna (Gary) Jareo, Kevin (Kathy) Robinson, Mark Robinson, and Debbie (Todd) Lavere; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Friday, April 27, 2018 from 3-6PM. Memorial Service at North Watertown Cemetery, Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS Association.
