Ogden assessor installed as president of state Assessor’s Association
On October 3, Town of Ogden Assessor Robert A. Criddle was installed as President of the New York State Assessor’s Association (NYSAA) at their Annual Seminar on Assessment Administration in Lake Placid, NY. He has served the residents of Ogden as Assessor since 2001 and has almost 29 years of assessment and real estate appraisal experience. He is a past president of the Monroe County Assessors’ Association; now serving as treasurer. He has also been a member of the NYSAA Executive Board the past six year.
The NYSAA dates to 1940 and has over 900 members from across the state.
In his inaugural speech, Criddle addressed the many significant challenges currently facing local governments and the assessment community in New York and how well-trained, professional assessors are essential to meeting those challenges efficiently and cost-effectively.
