Louis Moneta
Chili – Surrounded by family, Louis went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 25th. He was predeceased by his parents, Benito and Concetta Moneta. Survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Sandi; his cherished children, Laura (Kevin) Braid and Sarina Moneta (Mike Stoerger); and adored grandchildren, Isabella, Sophia and Benjamin Braid and Charlotte Pilcher; his dear sister, Angela (Tom) Stokes; sister-in-law, Janine Wannamaker (Alphonse Napoli); father-in-law, Quirino Simonetti; niece, Danielle Wannamaker (Drew Hill); many loving cousins, especially “cousin Al” (Karen) Moneta, who was like a brother to him; many devoted friends and best buddy, Benji. Louie’s greatest joy in life was to make sure his family was always well taken care of and happy. He was a humble, generous, gracious and proud man who never hesitated to help a stranger in need. The word “no” was never in his vocabulary. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was a retiree of Kodak and employed by Doyle Security. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff on 5East along with the Palliative Care team at Highland Hospital.
A Celebration of Louis’ Life will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 9 AM at Holy Ghost Church, 220 Coldwater Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
