A free day of process improvement assistance on October 3, 2019

Greater Rochester Quality Council (GRQC), a Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce affiliate, holds its sixth annual Day of Quality on October 3, 2019.  More than 35 organizations have already benefited from this single day, when quality improvement professionals lend their skills and expertise, at no charge, to help organizations improve a business process that impacts their efficiency and accuracy.

Rochester Chamber CEO Bob Duffy said, “The Day of Quality has become a highly-anticipated event, underscoring GRQC’s commitment to differentiate Rochester as a leader in performance excellence. This adds greatly to the region’s marketability of our people, products, and services.”

Prior participating organizations have included Autism Up!, Town of Irondequoit, Willow Domestic Violence, and TLF Graphics who went on to win a 2019 Performance Excellence Award. Past projects have ranged from improvements in intake processing time for clinic patients, maintenance work order processing and job time tracking in an enterprise resource planning system.

Organizations in business, healthcare, education, government and not-for-profit sectors can apply to participate in the Day of Quality by visiting http://www.grqc.org/GRQC-Day-of-Quality.aspx. More details can be found about requirements for participation, identification of potential processes and an optional class on Introduction to Process Improvement held at Rochester Institute of Technology’s Center for Quality and Applied Statistics.
