“Holly Trolley” rides offer unique holiday fun

Santa’s leaving the reindeer at home and will be arriving by trolley at the New York Museum of Transportation, 6393 East River Road, West Henrietta. Families can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturdays and Sundays, December 7, 8, 14 and 15, and take a two-mile round trip ride on the museum’s authentic vintage trolley car.

Rides operate every half-hour, starting at 11:30 a.m., and are included with admission to the museum ($10 adults, $9 seniors 65+, $8 youths age three to 12). No reservations are required. Last ride departs at 3:30 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance (check website for days and hours), and each child will receive a free memento from their visit. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will warm up the holiday spirit while holiday decorations light up the museum’s trolley collection.

Model trains will be operating on the museum’s model railroad, and the Midtown Plaza Monorail exhibit will bring back memories from Christmases long ago.
