Each year musicians entering grades seven and eight audition into a select ensemble called the Hochstein Junior Wind Symphony through the Hochstein School of Music. Students participate in this ensemble from all over Monroe and surrounding counties. This year four students from Wheatland-Chili have been chosen for this ensemble – Cheyenne Reis on trumpet; Dillon Nelson on clarinet; and Lilah Rocha and Gabrielle Monast on flute.
