ALBION
•Prest, Virginia (Button), age 92, died July 24, 2013 at the Martin-Lindsen Hospice House after a brief illness. She was born in Albion, the daughter of Mary and John Button and has been a lifetime resident of the area. She was a member of Holy Family Parish (the former St. Mary’s Assumption Church).
She was predeceased by her husband Howard and a son Howie “Dick”. She is survived by a son, Lynn of Holley and a daughter Cheryl (Jim) Cowley of Kendall; four granddaughters and two grandsons; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held, August 3 at Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Per Virginia’s wishes her body was donated to the University of Rochester as an Anatomical Gift. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Orleans in her memory.
AREA
•DiGiovanni, Anthony Francis “Tony,” of Rochester, died July 28, 2013 at age 86. Tony was predeceased by his daughter, Constance DiGiovanni; brothers, Ernest, Lucien and Robert. He is survived by his loving bride of 63 years, Jean; his children, Regina (Edward) Swart, Mark (Beth) and Andrea (John) Wheatley; grandchildren, Kim (Ray) McEvily, Christian Eshelman, Jason (Jessica) Swart, Laura (Anthony) McFarlane, Mara DiGiovanni and Ian Wheatley; great-grandchildren, Nicole and Zachary McEvily, Ella McFarlane and Jaedyn Swart; sister, Mary Robinson; brother, Daniel; several nieces and nephews. Tony served in WWII and retired from the South Avenue Fire Station after 33 years of service with the Rochester Fire Department.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated August 1 at St. Leo’s Church, Hilton. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing to continue Tony’s tradition of donating bread each day can do so to St. Peter’s Kitchen, 681 Brown Street, Rochster, NY 14611 or donations can be made to the Hilton Ambulance in his memory.

•Annello, Mark J., Predeceased by his father, Michael Annello. Survived by his loving wife, Theresa Annello; children, Alyssa Annello, Katie (Nick) Annello-Roberts, Nathan Annello; mother, Marilyn Annello; sister, Debbie (Jeff) Busold; brother, Michael Annello; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Amy Mueller, Lisa (Matt) Lampe, Jerry (Heather) Riverstone and Jeff Mueller; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark was a devoted employee of Vellano Brothers for 35 years.

•Gardner, Lynn A. “Red”, Died July 25, 2013. Predeceased by his parents, Donald and Rita; and brother, DL. Survived by his dear companion and partner, Cleo “Jean” Morgan; brothers, Gray (Sue) and Drew (Gina); nieces and nephews, Amy (Dean) DeGood, Kim, Jacob, Jon, Ben and Samantha Gardner; great-nephew, Adam Nasr; and many cousins. He was retired from UA Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 13.
A Funeral Service was held August 2 at the chapel at White Haven Memorial Park. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.
•Gramlich, Leonard W., July 30, 2013. Predeceased by sisters and brothers Dorothy Stott, Rita McGrath, Carl Gramlich, Margaret Gramlich, Paul (Dera) Gramlich, and Shirley Scriever. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Josephine; three children Kathleen (Luke) Piccarreto, Thomas Gramlich and Sharon (Ronald) Posato; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Donald (Susan) Gramlich; sister Frances Rydzewski. Leonard was a Marine Veteran of WWII.

•Hill, Marion T., Age 90, died July 25, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Norman J. Hill. Loving mother of Gregory Hill of Rochester, Nelson (Karen) Hill of Chili, Larry (Karlene) Hill of Chili and Ruth (Thomas) Beattie of Cary, North Carolina. Dear grandmother of eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Della Traber of Farmington and Penny Hill of Ohio. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by siblings Ralph Traber Jr. and Libby Jones.

•Caufield, Thomas E. Jr., July 23, 2013. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Marcella Caufield. Thomas is survived by his children, Mary A. Caufield, Christopher (Jenelle) Caufield; fiance, Krystal Shaver; former wife and friend Barbara Weegar; brother, James (Catie McDonnell) Caufield; sisters, Maureen (Dave) Rockell, Kathleen “KC” Eckerd; granddaughters, Paige and Peyton.
His Funeral Service was held July 29 at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, Inc., Spencerport. Interment at the convenience of the family.
•Utter, Jon R., On July 25, 2013, age 49. He is survived by his best friend and wife Debbie; children, Samuel, Charles, Cory, Jon, Katie and Sara; mother Carol.
A celebration of Jon’s life was held, August 3 at his home. Jon lives on in his family and donations can be made for the education of his children to the Bank of America in Henrietta, NY.

•Landers, Kim A. “Bear”, Suddenly on July 24, 2013 at age 55. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Rowena; brothers Francis and Dennis. GATES
•Hadley, Everett C., died July 27, 2013 at age 87, with his daughters by his side. Born on February 5, 1926, in East Blackstone, Massachusetts, the son of the late Chester W. Hadley and Esther A. Thayer. Everett was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving from 1944-48 in the Pacific. Everett worked at Alling & Cory Paper Co., eventually becoming a Wholesale Paper and Packaging Sales Manager. Both Everett and his wife, Mary, were very involved in their church (Gates Presbyterian) and their community. Everett retired in 1985 and moved to Pinellas Park, Florida, where he and Mary were very active in their Condo Association. In 2005 he came to live in North Chili with daughter, Ester. Everett is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Esther (Scott) Lewis of North Chili, and Lorraine (David) Spaulding of Dixon, Illinois; five grandchildren: Beth (Nick), Heather, Brian (Michelle), Anne, and Christine; one great-granddaughter, Sirona; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, four sisters, two brothers, and his wife of 47 years, Mary.
A Memorial Service will be held at Gates Presbyterian Church at a later date set by the family.
GREECE
•Draper, Mariea J. Suddenly on July 28, 2013 at age 72. Predeceased by her husband Donald, son Eric and daughter Valarie. She is survived by her sons Donald Jr. (Ann), Neal and Shawn; grandchildren Randy, Kyle, Jennifer and Melissa; great-grandchildren Nicholas and Olivia; siblings Marguerite Churchill, Phyllis (Roger) Misso, Edward (Diane) Fackler, Roger Fackler, Judy (Jack) Maines, Bonnie Stremich and James (Beverly) Fackler; sisters-in-law Theda Rosenbeck, Barbara and Harriett Draper; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held August 2 at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.

•Bucciarelli, John M., unexpectedly on July 29, 2013 at age 73. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gloria; sons, Michael (Denise), John (LaVon) Bucciarelli; grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Alyssa, Erica, Liana, Jonathan; sister, Theresa; brother, Mike; many nieces and nephews. John will be greatly missed by all the customers at the Pizza Shack where he spent his retirement years making people smile.

•Ward, Marion (Denham), age 78, died peacefully at her daughter Valerie’s home surrounded by loved ones. Marion was born May 7, 1935 in Clarkson, a daughter of the late John and Eva (Turnbull) Denham. She was predeceased by her husband James; sister, Jean Goodrell; son-in-law, Larry Justice. Loving mother of Lynn Justice, Reneé Pace, Denise (Ken) Devlin, Nancy (Tim) Crawford, Valerie (Mike) Bubb; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sister of Donald Denham; several nieces, nephews, cousins.

KENDALL
•Hartmann, Paul H., July 24, 2013 at age 64 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Predeceased by his mother, Edna Hartmann when he was 7 years old; his parents, Paul F. and Mildred M. Hartmann; and his brother David M. Hartmann. Survived by his brothers, Carl J. Hartmann and Daniel F. (Debbie) Hartmann; his niece, Amanda; aunts, Lillian Kates and Ethel Schmidt; dear friends, Ron Bock and his children, Austin and Brennen whom he considered his grandchildren and Jody and her son, Christian; and many dear friends. Paul owned his own plumbing company – Paul H. Hartmann Co.

NORTH CHILI
•Welch, Ruth J., July 26, 2013 at age 86. Predeceased by beloved husband, John “Sharkey”. Survived by her devoted children, Janet (James) Dill and John (Jillian) Welch; loving grandchildren, Jeffrey Dill, Lauren (Jordan) Raines and David Welch; great-granddaughter, Kayla and one great-grandchild on the way; brothers, Michael (Michele) McManus and James B. McManus; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Jeannette Pearce and Louise Kraft. Ruth was a longtime volunteer at Unity Hospital in the gift shop and Park Ridge Auxiliary member.
Her Funeral Service Mass was said July 29 at St. Monica’s Church, Rochester. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
